Same Day Crowns in Fishers

Rejuvenate Your Smile In One Day!!

Dental crowns offer full-coverage protection for teeth that are too brittle, worn, or damaged to repair with a filling. Instead, the crown (also called a “cap”) goes over and around the tooth, reinforcing it for everyday use. You might need a dental crown if you have a tooth with severe decay or significant structural damage.

If you’re replacing a missing tooth with a dental implant, we will fit the implant with a crown to restore the visible portion of your tooth above the gum tissue.

How Digital Impressions Work

It is now possible to create digital impressions that allow for an accurate replication of a patient’s mouth, teeth and gums that can then be used in creating crowns. This is super beneficial to our patients because we no longer have to take those messy impressions!

Here’s how it works:
Our team will insert an intraoral wand in your mouth and gently move it along the surface area of your teeth. The live images are displayed on a chairside monitor to show the progress as it’s captured. This is really cool because you can see a 3-D image of your teeth right next to your chair. This entire process only takes a few minutes and provides the most accurate impression of your teeth.

How Long Does It Take To Receive A Crown?

Most crowns in our office can be finished in one visit. In about 2 hours, a crown can be permanently cemented with CEREC. Sometimes, it is necessary to make a temporary crown and use an outside lab to fabricate a specific type of crown. In this case, a second visit is necessary.

What is Cerec?

Do you need a new dental crown but don’t want to wait weeks for it to be made? Thanks to CEREC technology, we can now make same day crowns right in our office!

3D CAD/CAM imaging allows us to expedite the traditional dental crown process to place your restoration in one visit rather than two. CEREC crowns use digital imaging to eliminate messy, uncomfortable impressions of your teeth. This data also converts the scan into a virtual 3D replica of your tooth, allowing us to mill your custom ceramic crown while you wait.
